If you don’t feel like reading all of the below information, simply put this is a picture I wanted to draw of post-game Samuel Hawkins lookin’ all cool.
---

Okay, so I’m pretty bummed about Fallout: New Vegas not having an endgame, but I can see why they don’t (since dealing with tweaking all the pre-endgame events to become post-endgame events so that it makes sense must be a headache enough, let alone dealing with the different endings that suggest a takeover of the New Vegas strip and the reaction of the different factions)...but it doesn’t mean I haven’t thought about what happens after Samuel Hawkins kicks out the NCR (peacefully, strangely) and wipes out the Legion (pretty much single-handedly). Despite having about a billion webcomic ideas already (only a few of which I actually started), another one I wanted to do was focused on post-FNV gameplay. I actually wanted to relay the events of what I thought would happen afterwards through exiles from Vault 42 (since only the premise of that Vault is known and not even its location) who came to the Mojave Wasteland seeking refuge and medical aid (there’s more to it than that, obviously, but I’ll leave it at that in case I decide to do it).

Now, you have to realize Samuel Hawkins initially only set out for an independent New Vegas because Arcade Gannon told him it would be best, since before then he avoided politics completely. Ever since he gained control of the region, he felt responsible for it, but felt that he couldn’t lead alone—so I feel as if he and Arcade, both being men of high intelligence, developed a plan for a government where power was divided into rankings with titles based on a deck of cards. The naming system was picked to be familiar and comfortable to the locals (who would understand the rankings of cards), and to become a workable hierarchy of power. Four Aces would rule on top, followed by the 12 royal cards (King, Queen, Jack of each suite), and then each of the royal cards would pick their 9 ranking officers. Yeah, it’s a weird system, but I thought of it more to fit within the style and theme of New Vegas rather than for practicality. I could go more in-depth of how I thought it would work, but I really only gave that explanation to say that Samuel Hawkins would be the Ace of Clubs, in charge of the Securitron army.

Also, since you may know of Samuel Hawkins’ love of clothing, I figured if he was one of the rulers of United New Vegas (UNV for short—I figured that’s what they would call it, since everyone, I assume, united under Hawkins except the Legion and Powder Gangers), that his only semi-abuse of power would be to be able to get people to make him custom clothing. Where they got the fabric, I have no idea...dead bodies or abandoned factories probably :P

Yeah, yeah, gotta get going on finishing the Atlas/P-Body Cosplay...man, Otakon is fast approaching...
